What is GiveGetFunds? โพ
GiveGetFunds is a global crowdfunding platform that connects fundraisers with donors worldwide. You can create a campaign for medical expenses, education, disasters, community projects, and more.
Is GiveGetFunds free to use? โพ
Creating a campaign and browsing are completely free. A platform fee is added on top of each donation โ paid by the donor, not the campaign owner. The fee is 5% for PayPal and Stripe/Card payments, and 8% for cryptocurrency donations. For PayPal and Stripe, campaign owners receive the donation amount minus the payment gateway's processing fees. For cryptocurrency, campaign owners receive the full donation amount directly to their wallet โ no deductions from GiveGetFunds.
Who can create a campaign? โพ
Anyone over 18 years old from any country can create a campaign. You just need to register an account, verify your identity, and publish your campaign โ it goes live immediately!
Why do cryptocurrency donations have a higher fee? โพ
Cryptocurrency donations are sent directly to the campaign owner's wallet without passing through any financial intermediary. The 8% platform fee (compared to 5% for PayPal/Stripe) reflects the additional complexity of monitoring blockchain transactions, verifying donations via Blockchain API, converting crypto values to the campaign's chosen currency at real-time exchange rates, and the higher compliance requirements associated with cryptocurrency transactions.
In which countries does GiveGetFunds operate? โพ
GiveGetFunds is available in 120+ countries. Donors can contribute from anywhere in the world. Campaign owners can receive donations in any country where PayPal, Stripe, or cryptocurrency wallets are supported. Availability of specific payment methods may vary by country.
Donations
What payment methods are accepted? โพ
We accept PayPal, credit/debit cards via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and more), and major cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and USDT. Each campaign may enable one or more of these methods โ available options are shown when you open the donation window for a specific campaign.
How much does it cost to donate? โพ
When you donate, a small platform fee is added on top of your donation amount โ paid by you, not the campaign owner. For PayPal or Stripe/Card, the fee is 5%. For cryptocurrency, the fee is 8%. Examples: donate $100 via PayPal โ you pay $105. Donate $100 via Bitcoin โ you pay $108 + blockchain Gas Fees (~$0.10โ$2.00 set by the network). For PayPal/Stripe: campaign owner receives approximately $96โ$97 after gateway processing fees. For cryptocurrency: campaign owner receives the full $100 directly to their wallet โ Gas Fees are paid by you to the blockchain network and do not affect the campaign owner.
Can I donate anonymously? โพ
Yes! When making a donation, you can choose to hide your name and/or your donation amount. The campaign organizer will still receive the funds but won't see your identity.
Can I get a refund? โพ
GiveGetFunds does not hold or control donated funds and will not issue refunds. If you have concerns, your options depend on the payment method used: PayPal or Stripe โ you may contact the campaign owner directly, file a dispute through your payment provider in accordance with their policies, or report the campaign to our support team. Cryptocurrency โ all crypto transactions are final and irreversible by nature of blockchain technology. Once confirmed on the blockchain, a donation cannot be reversed or refunded under any circumstances, including accidental donations or fraudulent campaigns. By donating with cryptocurrency, you accept this risk.
Can I download a receipt for my donation? โพ
Yes! After completing your donation, you will be taken to a confirmation page where you can instantly download your official donation receipt as an image file. The receipt includes your campaign name, donation amount, payment method, unique transaction ID, date, and total charged โ along with a direct link to the campaign. It serves as your official proof of donation and can be saved, printed, or shared anytime. No account required.
Is my payment information secure? โพ
Absolutely. We use TLS 1.3 encryption and do not store any card information on our servers. All payments are processed through certified and regulated payment gateways.
For Fundraisers
When will I receive my donations? โพ
Donations go directly and automatically to your payment account โ no manual withdrawal needed. PayPal/Stripe: funds are transferred to your account by the payment provider as soon as the donor completes payment. Cryptocurrency: funds are sent directly from the donor's wallet to yours via the blockchain network and become available once the transaction is confirmed (typically within minutes to an hour depending on network congestion). GiveGetFunds does not hold or process funds at any point.
How much do I actually receive from each donation? โพ
You receive the full donation amount minus only the payment provider's processing fees โ the platform fee (5% or 8%) is always paid by the donor on top of their donation, not deducted from what you receive. Example for a $100 donation: PayPal โ you receive approximately $96โ$97 (after PayPal's ~3โ4% processing fee). Stripe / Card โ you receive approximately $96โ$97 (after Stripe's ~2.9% + $0.30 processing fee). Cryptocurrency (BTC / ETH / USDT) โ you receive the full $100 directly to your wallet. Blockchain network fees (Gas Fees) are paid entirely by the donor on top of their total โ they do not affect the amount you receive.
Can I make my campaign private? โพ
Yes! When creating your campaign, you can choose to make it private. Private campaigns are not displayed on the Platform and can only be accessed by people who have the direct campaign link. All Terms of Service and fees apply equally to private campaigns. Note that GiveGetFunds is not responsible for unauthorized sharing of your campaign link by third parties.
Can I send messages to my donors? โพ
Yes! From your Campaign Dashboard, you can send messages directly to donors who have contributed to your campaign โ but only to donors who have
explicitly opted in by checking the consent box during the donation process. Donors who did not opt in will not receive your messages.
Important rules you must follow:

Maximum one (1) message per week per campaign โ the send button will be locked until 7 days have passed since your last message
- ๐ Links are not allowed in message content โ any URLs or hyperlinks will be automatically blocked
- ๐ Messages must relate solely to the campaign โ updates, thank-you messages, and progress reports only
- ๐ซ Using donor emails for any other purpose including marketing or promotion is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent account termination
These rules exist to protect donor privacy in accordance with GDPR and to maintain trust on the platform.
Can I edit my campaign after publishing? โพ
Yes. You can edit your campaign title, description, goal amount (you can increase but not decrease it), photos, and video at any time from your Campaign Dashboard. Your payment method settings and wallet addresses can also be updated. Some fields such as the campaign currency cannot be changed after the first donation is received, in order to protect donor trust and maintain accurate records.
What happens if I don't reach my goal? โพ
GiveGetFunds uses a "keep what you raise" model. You keep all the funds raised regardless of whether you reach your goal. Donors are informed of this policy before donating.
๐ฌ Standard Campaigns โ YouTube / Vimeo Video Links
Can I add a video to my Standard Campaign? โพ
Yes. When creating or editing a Standard Campaign, you can choose between uploading a photo or adding a YouTube or Vimeo video link. The video will appear as an embedded player at the top of your campaign page, replacing the main photo. You can also add a second video link inside your campaign story for additional context. GiveGetFunds does not host the video โ it is streamed directly from YouTube or Vimeo to your donors' devices.
Which YouTube / Vimeo links are supported? โพ
GiveGetFunds supports the following YouTube URL formats: standard watch links (youtube.com/watch?v=...), short links (youtu.be/...), YouTube Shorts (youtube.com/shorts/...), and direct embed links (youtube.com/embed/...). For Vimeo, standard video links (vimeo.com/[id]) are supported. The video must be set to Public or Unlisted on the third-party platform โ Private videos cannot be embedded. GiveGetFunds automatically converts your link to a valid embed URL.
Am I allowed to use any YouTube video for my campaign? โพ
No. You may only embed a YouTube or Vimeo video if you are the original creator of that video, or if you hold a valid licence or explicit permission from the rights holder to use the video in a fundraising context. Embedding a video that was uploaded without the rights holder's consent may constitute copyright infringement under Directive (EU) 2019/790 on copyright in the Digital Single Market and the Belgian Copyright Act (loi du 30 juin 1994 relative au droit d'auteur). GiveGetFunds is not responsible for copyright violations arising from videos you choose to embed, and reserves the right to remove embedded video links upon receipt of a valid infringement notice.
Does embedding a YouTube video affect my donors' privacy? โพ
Yes, potentially. When a donor visits your campaign page and the YouTube embed loads, YouTube (operated by Google LLC) may collect technical data from their device โ including IP address, browser type, and interaction data โ in accordance with YouTube's Privacy Policy and Google's Terms of Service. This occurs independently of GiveGetFunds and is outside our control. To minimise data collection from EU donors under GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), GiveGetFunds uses YouTube's Privacy-Enhanced embed mode (youtube-nocookie.com) by default, which delays cookie placement until the donor actively plays the video. However, donors who are concerned about third-party data collection should be aware that using the YouTube player is subject to Google's privacy practices.
What types of video content are prohibited in Standard Campaigns? โพ
You must not embed videos that: infringe any copyright or intellectual property rights; contain personal data of individuals without their consent (GDPR); are misleading or deceptive in relation to your campaign's purpose (Directive 2005/29/EC); constitute unlawful advertising or hidden sponsorship (Directive 2006/114/EC, AVMS Directive 2018/1808/EU); contain hate speech or content prohibited under Belgian law of 30 July 1981; have been removed by YouTube, Vimeo, or any competent authority for violating applicable law; or direct donors to competing fundraising platforms. GiveGetFunds reserves the right to remove any embedded video link that violates these rules without prior notice.
What happens if my embedded video is deleted from YouTube? โพ
If the video you embedded is deleted or made private by you or YouTube, it will no longer be visible on your campaign page โ a blank or broken player may appear instead. Your campaign will remain active and donors can still contribute, but the visual impact of the video will be lost. GiveGetFunds is not responsible for video unavailability caused by actions taken by third-party platforms. You can update your campaign at any time to replace the video link or switch to a photo from your Campaign Dashboard.
Is GiveGetFunds responsible for the content of embedded YouTube videos? โพ
No. GiveGetFunds does not host, moderate, or take editorial responsibility for video content embedded from YouTube or Vimeo. As a platform that facilitates the display of hyperlinks to externally hosted content, GiveGetFunds is not a hosting service provider for such content under the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065). Full legal responsibility for the accuracy, lawfulness, and appropriateness of embedded video content rests with the Campaign Owner. GiveGetFunds may, however, remove embedded links that are reported as unlawful or in violation of these Terms.

What is a Reel Campaign? โพ
A Reel Campaign is a fundraising campaign with a full-screen vertical video uploaded directly to GiveGetFunds. Instead of a photo, your campaign is presented through a video that donors can watch directly on the platform โ no third-party account required. It is a video-based format designed for mobile audiences. The success of any campaign โ including Reel Campaigns โ depends entirely on the quality of your story, your outreach efforts, and donor engagement. GiveGetFunds makes no guarantees regarding fundraising outcomes.
Do I need any external account to create a Reel Campaign? โพ
No. You upload your video directly to GiveGetFunds โ no YouTube account, no third-party platform, and no external link required. Your video is stored and served through GiveGetFunds. You are solely responsible for ensuring the content you upload complies with GiveGetFunds Terms of Service and all applicable laws.
Can I run both a Standard Campaign and a Reel Campaign at the same time? โพ
Yes. Your account may have multiple active campaigns of different types simultaneously. There is no restriction on running a Standard Campaign and a Reel Campaign covering the same cause, provided each campaign complies individually with GiveGetFunds Terms of Service. However, deliberately duplicating campaigns to collect funds for the same purpose may constitute fraud and is strictly prohibited.
What video format is recommended for a Reel Campaign? โพ
We recommend uploading a vertical video in 9:16 aspect ratio (portrait format), which is optimised for mobile viewing. Suggested resolution: 1080 ร 1920 pixels. Maximum duration: 3 minutes. Accepted formats: MP4, MOV, WebM โ maximum file size 500 MB. GiveGetFunds hosts and serves your video directly; you retain full legal responsibility for all content you upload.
Who is responsible for the content of the Reel Campaign video? โพ
The Campaign Owner bears full and sole legal responsibility for all video content uploaded to their Reel Campaign. The video must accurately represent the campaign's purpose, must not contain false or misleading information, must comply with all applicable laws including EU consumer protection regulations, GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), and intellectual property law, and must not infringe any third-party rights including copyright, trademarks, or privacy rights. As the hosting provider, GiveGetFunds may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law, but is not liable for content published by Campaign Owners prior to notification.
Can my video be removed by GiveGetFunds? โพ
GiveGetFunds reserves the right to remove video content that violates these Terms of Service, applicable EU law, or community standards โ including content that is unlawful, misleading, or infringes third-party rights. If your video is removed, your campaign page will remain active and donations can still be received, but the video will no longer be visible to donors. You will be notified where required by applicable law. To avoid removal, ensure your content complies fully with the Terms before uploading.
Are the fees the same for Reel Campaigns? โพ
Yes. The same platform fee structure applies to all campaign types including Reel Campaigns: 5% for PayPal and Stripe/Card donations, and 8% for cryptocurrency donations. The fee is always paid by the donor on top of their donation amount. No additional fees apply to Reel Campaigns.
